I have six teammates that I will be family with for the next 11 months… and they are awesome. You can see their photo and profile link below. Today we had a debrief with our leaders and my teammates. What an amazing blessing to be stuck with these six peps for the next year of my life. I truly see Gods favor in this. We have been learning the goods and bads of each other these past four days here in Guatemala. Soo awesome.
We also received information of where we will be ministering for the next three weeks while here in Guate!!! The village is called La Tama. And it is off the charts; literally! I have asked every Guatemaltican around where this place could be and researched it’s info on the web; but have came up with nothing. Theres no info of this place and no one has been there. Craziely awesome!! While in La Tama, we will build a church that can hold up to 300 peps. We will also minister through evanglism, street outreaches, home visits, and orphanage assistance and more. But our most focus will be on building this church because it’s a Chistain based church for these people. While we’re living there in La Tama, we will eat as the locals do, use the restroom as the locals do, and work hard as the locals do. We will not be given a place to sleep so we will use our tents outside. Our restroom is just a hole in the ground; no running water, no mirrors, no lights, and no doors. We will not be able to shower or bathe while there so when we transition to Nicaragua on the last day of October, we will need to find a place to clean up for the first time in three weeks. We will not have electricity either. Which means no contact with the outside world while there. I speak spanish but no one there will understand spanish. So we will still need a translator.
So our first mission is pretty hard-core. But I am soooo excited for it. As the Lord ministers through us these next weeks, please be praying and interceding for my team and I. And if the Lord moves you to support with a contribution you can do so by clicking
