Y'all ready for this? In just a little under 1 week, not only will we be in 2015, but I’ll also be headed back onto the field! I’m not sure where the time has gone this year, but it sure doesn’t seem to be slowing down any.

Things are coming along nicely though. I recently moved my belongings back to Franklin to my families house, and am currently knee deep in support raising, packing, and preparing my heart to leave again for 5 months. It’s getting a bit surreal, but I know that more and more, it’s where I’m supposed to be.

I’ll be honest though and say, it hasn’t been easy. Actually, if I’m being transparent, I need some prayer.

Just a quick summary, but over the past month I’ve been dealing with some weird sickness stuff. In one week I was in and out of the doctors office for lab work 5 or 6 times. They did tons of tests on everything from cancer to mono and in-between. Oddly enough though, the only thing showing up wrong was something in my liver. Which was a bit alarming because it's super important, but with that, each one of my lymph nodes were so swollen I couldn’t even touch them. I was in a lot of pain, but the doctor was legitimately stumped on what was wrong…

A couple weeks ago at church though, my Mom requested special prayer for me, and at the end of service, the congregation all prayed healing and health for me.

By that evening, it was if everything was completely normal. Praise God!

I’m telling y’all, prayer works.

Oddly enough though (side not if you will, then I’ll get back on track), why is it that prayer is typically our last resort?

I hear it all the time from friends and people at church, “Well there’s nothing else we can do. We’ve tried everything. I guess we’ll just pray now.”

I challenge you, next time something’s going on, pray first and watch God move. Contrary to popular belief, God still heals, and we get to be the ones to not only receive it, but to step out in faith and apply it! How cool is that?!

I do ask that you keep praying for me though as I prepare to head out and that I’ll remain healthy and ready to serve my squad at 100%. Being overseas can be rough on the ole body.

Anyways, I also want to give you a quick support raising update.

As of tonight (12/27/14), I am sitting at $1,800.00 in my support account!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, to everyone who has given so far! I am truly humbled and blessed by each of you. Now that Christmas is over, I’m gonna be making calls and touching base with you if I haven’t already, just to say thanks and see how I can be praying for you over this next little while.

With that being said, there is still time and space to give if you haven’t, as I need $6,000.00 total for my time on the field. If you'd like to receive a support letter, please let me know. I'd love to send you one!

If you’re interested in supporting me, but don't want a letter, here's a couple ways to do so:

– Going to my blog and clicking “Support Me” on the left-hand side of the screen. There you’ll be directed to the next steps. Or you can click HERE!

– Give directly through PayPal by using my email address: [email protected]

– Or, you can send directly to me at this address…

I mention that second and third options because, there are times while preparing to leave, and also while on the field, that personal money is needed and handy to have. Whether that’s buying malaria prevention medicine before leaving, paying for Skype credit to call home, having some extra spending money for food, or just having extra money incase of emergencies, it can be a HUGE help.

Lastly, because it was just Christmas, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to add a “Post-Christmas Wish-List”, if you will.  This is also where some personal money could come in handy to help with some expenses. If you see something below that you’d be interested in helping sponsor me for, please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it!

You may say, for example; "Wow, that's an expensive sleeping bag. Why not buy something cheaper from Wal-Mart?" For what I do, these are more long-lasting, rated higher, weigh less, and pack smaller. If you remember, I will be carrying all my belongings in one bag again on my back, so space and weight are everything.

Ok, that’s all for now. I’ve said it before, but this wouldn’t be possible without each of you standing beside of me each step of the way. I truly appreciate you and your heart to serve and advance the Kingdom.

I hope you and your family had a very…

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Please let me know how I can be praying for you. Oh yeah, and check out my “Wish List” below. Some of this stuff I've already purchased due to time winding down, but it would be great to have help covering the cost of it…

Love y’all.
