I know it’s been a few weeks since you’ve heard from me, but don’t worry, I’m still kickin’ and I’m officially moved into the 30501… aka… Gainesville, Georgia!

In a little over a week I’ll have been off the World Race for 2 months! It doesn’t seem possible! 2 months ago I’d NEVER have guessed that my life would be headed in the direction that it’s going, but I am quickly learning that sometimes we just don’t know what kind of "route change" the Lord has planned… However, it’s sweet and when we trust Him, all things will work together for the good (Romans 8:28)!
Yep. Here I am. Living in Gainesville, Georgia and working at Adventures in Missions. It’s really happening. I’m living in the “man house” with 8 other men, and I’m enjoying it so far. The guys in my house are legit and love Jesus so much! It’ll be incredible to get to know them better and see what the Lord has planned for this new season of our lives.
(this is my part of my room. Paul, my roommate, has the other part)
This week we began our job assignments here at Adventures and we all found out where we’ll be serving for our time here. I was really excited to get my assignment, because I found out that I’d be working in The World Race department! Having just returned from the race myself, I have been interested in seeing what makes it tick and who works behind the scenes… Well, here’s my chance to do just that.

(my parking pass. haha)
Each one of us chosen for The World Race department were placed with a staff member who currently already works in The World Race and we are there to assist them and do whatever they need us to do to help mobilize the squads who are on the field at the moment.
I have been assigned to work with Ryan Hughes. I’m excited to be working with him and learning from him. His job is basically to make sure that two of the squads who are currently on the field are completely taken care of. He’s working with “D-Squad” who is currently in month 9 of their race, and also with “I-Squad” who just launched into month 1 of the race about 2 weeks ago. I was really excited to find that out because I’ve got some friends on “D-Squad” so it’ll be cool to keep up more with them. So anyways, basically Ryan’s job is to make sure EVERYTHING flows smoothly; ministry contacts, transportation, some budget stuff, housing, teams, etc. There are LOTS of people out of the 2 groups on the field, so there’s plenty of work to stay busy.
(my desk… it's still under construction. haha)
Right now, its just day 2, but both the work and schooling portions are great. The schooling portion is basically a discipleship program that we do everyday after lunch for a few hours and during that time we study the Word and learn more about what it means to be and make disciples. I really have a good feeling about it and believe the Lord has so much to teach me through both sections… Work and School
This year while I’m working and attending discipleship school, I am completely 100% dependent on supporters. For the year I have to have a total of $7,200 for the year. It comes out to $600 a month. This will cover my housing, food, gas to and from work/school, and materials necessary for the year. Not to mention, I’ll be leading trips and traveling a good bit since I’m working within The World Race. Right now I have a total of $913.00 in my support account. So I still have a ways to go!
If you’re interested in helping support me, I would greatly appreciate it! You can do this two ways… 1… I need LOTS of prayers! I need the prayers and you need the practice! AND 2… I need financial support. If you feel led to help support me, you can do that in a couple different ways:
– Click “Support Me” on the left hand side of the blog site
– Use PayPal… You can find me by using my email [email protected]
– Mail checks to my home in NC and I’ll get them from my family
