This week has been absolutely incredible. Don’t get me wrong, its been overwhelming, its been exhausting, at times its been frustrating to play the “waiting game” and saying goodbye to my family and close friends on G squad was literally heart breaking but God is good and has revealed to me a sense of peace as I enter into this crazy adventure.  In just 1 hour I will be heading to the airport to board my first of 4 flights traveling to Bulgaria (Atlanta to Charlotte, Charlotte to NYC, NYC to Poland and Poland to Bulgaria).  Once we finally make it to Bulgaria, my team and I will actually find a train and head out to Macedonia where we will be spending the rest of July.

Macedonia was never on our route, nor have I ever really considered going there but I am so thankful for this surprise country because the ministry we will be doing fits our team, Aka Esh, so very well.  Although we don’t know the exact details, our contact has given us an overview of what that ministry will look like and it includes Children’s ministry, street evangelism in a town called Resen and construction on the Evangelical Church of Bitola.  Our contacts sound incredibly sweet and encouraging but more importantly they have a heart devoted to seeing their small town come to know the love of our savior!  Our team is incredibly excited to be the FIRST World Race team to serve in the country of Macedonia and experience what God is already doing in this historic and beautiful nation.

The rest of our squad (about 42 other people) will be serving throughout Bulgaria, Serbia and Kosovo this month so please keep them in your prayers as well.

As I wrap up this little update and last blog from America, I just want to say how much I sincerely appreciate all of you.  Know that I will do my best to represent you well and be a good steward of the money you have so graciously entrusted me to use to advance the gospel in accordance to the Great Commission.  Although I am SO thankful that the Lord has called me to the World Race in this season, please also know that you don’t have to go overseas to be living in the will of God.  God exists in America just as much as he does in Macedonia, or China or Nepal.  Our heart cries out to know the father and his answer to that cry will always be love and grace so don’t be afraid to try this whole “prayer” thing out.  Ya never know where he might call ya if you chose to listen.

Much love,

Drea
