HIS beloved.
“Behold, The Lamb of God,why you love me so, Lord, I shall never know; you were born into sin that I may live again.”
The interminable pursuit of this question has tormented me for years, but it now has a permanent answer; I AM HIS. Your boundless grace outshines the brokenness, condemnation and shame that once enslaved me to the disastrous palms of sexual immorality. Psalm 147:3, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” I am forever indebted to my long lost friend, Jesus; thank you for breathing life and purpose into my shattered pieces. Oh Lord, you have given me a new name!
Here are several things I’ve discovered along the way :
- My heart knows no stranger; everyone is welcomed.
- The LA Dream Center is where I encountered the authenticity of the Gospel.
- Nickerson Gardens is HOME; I long to smother the kids with cuddles and kisses, chat with the homies about Jesus and drugs, get scolded by LAPD, laugh with the grandma’s, and pick up trash in a housing development where survival is the only mechanism. Jesus is desperately needed, and HIS love changes everything.
- Family Oriented- My mummy is my hero!
- A handful of my closest friends are ex-felons and several are still participants of the lifestyle. I’m thankful I get the privilege to live life amongst them.. Hint Hint ** We live in the middle of crime city… :):):) Our home is open to them all!…. Come ONE, Come ALL.. Kiwi (My room-sister) and I have mad love for Pey Pey.
- World-Traveler in spirit.. Mexico and Canada are the exception. It’s all about to change.
- I’m loud and obnoxious.. A good laugh is hard to pass up.
- I’m my brother’s keeper; they encourage and inspire me daily. The 13 year old, Josh, channels my inner child and most of the time we can’t decipher who the adult really is. He is such a selfless human and loves others immensely. The 18 year old, Chris, is the foundation of our trio. The wisdom he exemplifies surpasses his age. He breathes hope in my direction when I doubt the ability of what I was created to accomplish. He is a man of very few words, but when he speaks it’s profound.
- Coffee-Lover.
- Passionate about ending social injustice– Take a stand because we all have a voice, and each person matters.
