Dear Friends and Family,
As many of you all know I graduated from Eastern Oregon University on June 6th, 2015 with a degree in English. As my time as a student has come to an end I’m excited to tell you that I’ve been accepted onto a year-long mission trip called the World Race (WR), sponsored by the organization Adventures in Missions (AIM).
From January to November 2016, I will be traveling to 11 countries in 11 months: Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, Philippians, Thailand, Cambodia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile and lastly Argentina. While traveling along this route, my squad of about 40 people will be split into teams to go and work with local ministries and churches doing things like working with orphanages, construction, sharing the gospel with local orphans, widows, homeless, sex-trade victims, and so much more. If you can think of it there’s a good chance we will get to do it.
I feel strongly, that the Lord is calling me to this, and that this is the next step he has planned for me in my life. However, I cannot do it alone. The two ways that you can help me right now is through Prayer and Financial support. The total cost of the trip is $16,562 dollars. This covers, my travel, visas, food, lodging and health insurance for the duration of the trip. What this does not cover is my upfront costs, such as passport renewal, shots, gear (Tent, backpack, etc…) nor does it cover any additional costs that might arise while on the trip; overall I believe this trip is going to cost me around $20,000.
I know it seems like a lot, but with your help I have no doubt that I can get there. Currently, I have _____________ raised. To donate there are several options:
- Gofundme.com/deedeepeters——-this is not tax deductible, but can help me with my upfront costs, and costs for necessities or emergencies that may arise while I’m gone.
- Donate directly through my AIM account. —Donations here are tax deductible.
- The easiest way would be to go to http://deidrapeters.theworldrace.org/ and click the Support Me button to donate.
- Or you can mail a check to:
Adventures in Missions
Atlanta, Georgia 30374-2570
- Lastly, you can donate by giving me a cash or check directly. If you want it tax deductible however, you have to write the check to Adventures in Missions.
Not everyone can give financially, and I understand that. I just want you to know that whatever you do give, rather its $1, $5, $100 or whatever you’re able to it means a lot to me. If you can’t give financially, just remember to please keep me and my squad in your prayers as we prepare for this journey of a life time. You can find updates not only about my fundraising, but about my life in general, as well as the mission trip once we begin on my blog at http://deidrapeters.theworldrace.org/.
Thanks,
Dee Dee Peters
