Okay Guys, Here’s my second post…thought I should throw something up about me….
My name is Dee Dee.
Birthday: 7/12/88…Yep that makes me 26 almost 27.
Siblings: complicated…2….er make that 9ish…2 that I grew up with the other 7 are apart of my adopted family that I’ve made as I’ve gotten older, but I wouldn’t consider them anything but siblings.
Current Job: Taco Time
Fundraising: Not a big fan of asking people for money.
Favorite Band: Journey
Favorite Movie: eh…probably the musical Oliver but honestly I’ll watch just about anything.
Favorite Book: that’s a tough one too…Boxcar Children #1
and Charles Dickens Oliver Twist are up there for a tie…but again I’ll read just about anything.
Favorite Bible Book: currently Jeremiah after all it is what lead me to joining the WR.
Grew up in a bi-coastal family: Mom and sister on the West Coast in Oregon; Dad, Stepmom, and younger sister on the East Cost in Florida.
I don’t believe in regrets, because if I regretted something and wanted to go back and change it I would be changing who I am right now. While I don’t necessarily like everything about my past and who’ve I been, I know God has a plan for it all and a purpose, and will find a way to use it.
Passion: working with youth and letting them know that their past does not define them, and that they are not worthless but rather God has a plan for each and everyone of them.
I want to open a center for at risk youth someday (assuming that’s God plan for me, if not, I’m open to whatever he wants me to do with my life).
Got baptized in 2006, the same weekend I graduated High School. Gave my life to God about a month before that while on my senior class Mission Trip to Mexico. It’s been a rocky road since, but I wouldn’t have it any other way because no matter how rocky or bumpy it gets God’s always got my back, and he’s always on my side.
Graduating from Eastern Oregon University on 6/13/2015 with a Bachelors in English and Minor in Business.
Free time: I’m a college kid who works, what free time????lol….I actually love to spend time with family and friends just hanging out, playing card/board games, curling up and watching a god movie, or reading a good book…
