I’m sure you are all wondering…who is this girl?! What kind of person would gladly and willingly give up the comforts of home in the USA in exchange for a third-world minimalistic lifestyle?! Well, this girl would in a heartbeat!
So let me introduce myself to y’all starting from the basics to the more complex…
I grew up in Wisconsin on a lovely dairy farm. It was here that I learned how to care for animals, work the land, and appreciate the fruits that are born from hard work!
This is one of the many beautiful things of living on a farm…new life! It’s truly amazing.

Just a few pictures to give you an idea of the beauty I was daily surrounded by growing up!
I am one of eight children in my family.

This is my entire family together for Christmas! All my siblings with their spouses and children…it’s a rare but wonderful event when we are all able to be together in the same room or state for that matter, haha….total success!
I am a graduate from Bethany Lutheran College (BLC) where I received a degree in Biology and Exercise Science…not sure if I will ever use it, but I still have the passion for medicine and rehabilitative techniques….maybe someday…

Graduation Day!!! WOOHOO!
I am an avid coffee-drinker! My current favorite flavor is Hazelnut!!! SOOOO good! It might be my forever-favorite ![]()
I am also in love with cats! I am an animal-lover in general…but cats continue to go above and beyond my expectations of the term “pet”…they are an exceptional species. Period.

This is Oscar the Cat! I know what you are all thinking..and no he’s not a grouch. Far from it actually…in no way is he related to Oscar the Grouch…haha
I am a runner, roller-blader, and partaker in Pilates.
I am outdoorsy! Nature is a love of mine…it’s where I find peace, rest, quiet, and joy. God has created so much beauty in the realms of nature…it’s just so powerful and brilliant! No one else could possibly create all the detail and beauty that is rooted in nature.

Mountains of Northern California

I found this gem of a waterfall on a 13-mile hike I went on in California. Gorgeous!

Monument Hill State Park in Texas. Great hiking trails!
I am an explorer..maybe too adventurous for my own good sometimes..haha! Maybe slightly impulsive at times as well…but honestly, I find no harm in exploration of God’s creation. It’s a beautiful gift.
I am a fan of music that speaks to my soul: Christian Indy music is my top favorite as of late…but I’m always looking for new tunes to sing, play and listen to! If I find that really like a song, I will proceed to learn it on the piano and guitar and use it as a form of worship.
Most of the time, I tend to lean more towards the introverted side of things, but I also find pleasure in being extroverted at times…it has its advantages. As an introvert, being in silence, extended periods of quiet-time, alone-time, thinking, listening, and observing are all things I enjoy and find energizing.
OK, the basics about me are complete I believe.
All of these facts about me are things that represent me as a person in this world, but not of it. They are fun to talk and hear about but the only thing I pray represents me best is my identity in Christ. I am God’s child, first and foremost! In being His child, He has gifted me with unique strengths, weaknesses, interests, desires, and abilities that are used to better glorify His kingdom. I am 1 of ~7 billion people on this earth that fits into the body of Christ in a way no other could….we are all uniquely made and known by our Heavenly Father. But what brings us all together is that we are all His children too.
Incredible
My hearts desire is to spread God’s Word and the plan of Salvation to every tribe, tongue, and nation…to be a light in the darkness of this world, but most of all to help others CLAIM their identities as a child of God!
“For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to child-ship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are God’s children, then we are heirs – heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” ~Romans 8:14-17
Wow, right?! What an incredible gift from our Father! The gift of adoption to being His sons and daughters….so incredible. I want others to feel this overwhelming feeling of love that I feel every time I read these verses. He loved us so much that he gave up his only son for all of us. And He adopted us as his children right along with Jesus…we are co-heirs with Christ…not below or above, but right next to Jesus. He loves us THAT much!
That’s love: A purposeful commitment to sacrificial action for another.
