How forgetful are we to spend our time with God?
Everyday seems to be a challenge for me. I have found my personal challenge and struggle has been to always set the time aside to spend with God. I have been so grateful for the incredible things He has done for me. He has shown so much love and grace, that it just makes me want to sit there for hours and just listen to Him.
But I'm guilty.
Through distractions, being too tired, work, and rushing to get somewhere, I don't always remember to set time aside for a quiet time. I always find myself saying "as soon as I get home…" or "after I do this, I'm going to sit down with Him", but you know…it doesn't always happen. I'll get distracted or I will have an excuse I am too tired. It's horrible and I hate everything about it. For someone to express so much love, I don't always spare at least 20 minutes. It makes me feel so selfish, but soon this will all change.
I am so stoked for this trip and this is why…
I can't wait to leave the distractions in my life
I can't wait to devote 11 months of my life to Him
I can't wait to be surrounded by people who truly have a passion for God
I can't wait to not always have my cell phone in my hand
I can't wait to glorify Him everyday for 11 months
I can't wait to tell people about Jesus
I can't wait to grow a more giving heart
I can't wait to see people introduced to God
I can't wait to meet my teammates
I can't wait to change lives
I can't wait to be challenged in my faith to help me grow more
I can't wait to show people the impossible is possible
I can't wait to see the natural beauty of the world
I can't wait to add this to my testimony
I have officially reached $7,000 for my World Race.
That. Is. Incredible.
With this amount, I will be able to attend the World Race for at least 3 months! God's wonderful grace is definitely showing. So much that it has blown my mind. The love my family and friends have shown is astonishing. Even people who don't know me personally have given generously to support this trip.
