I wholeheartedly believe the more I seek God the more the Lord gives me what I need. He knows what satisfies my soul and brings joy into my life.

On this trip, I have realized I am a lover of water. I mean, I knew I loved water before this trip but I didn’t know it gave me life; that it calmed my spirit and made me feel so much joy.

Water has always followed me. Seriously. I’ve never strategically moved to an apartment for its proximity to the water. Some type of body of water has always been around me but I never knew the importance it played with having a peaceful spirit.

I was raised in California and have always lived a few miles from the beach. When I moved to Chicago I had Lake Michigan walking distance from my apartment. In NYC, I also lived a few hundred feet from a lake then near a costal area.

Since on this trip, I have noticed God’s thoughtful pattern happening before and during the race. He’s actually given me some type of body of water in every country I’ve visited, which is so crazy cool.

South Africa: Beach
Botswana: Pool
Madagascar: Lake
Vietnam: Beach
Cambodia: Pool
Thailand: Lake

This is no coincidence, my friends. I’m not lucky or fortunate. God knows what I need. He knows my spirit is moved by water before I even realized.

I feel relaxed, free and can better connect to Him when I’m around water. When I can connect with God, I am a better person. A better person to others and myself. Actually, the Lord knows it’s good for all of humanity 😉

Not being surrounded by water would make this trip much harder than it already is. So I am grateful for God’s thoughtfulness of my needs.

Our God is a loving and tender God. He wants to see us happy and connected to Him everywhere we live and breath. He truly gives us what we need, even when we’re not fully aware what ahe is doing.

Now, it is our job to become more aware of these small gifts from above and use them to make us better people.

Do you know what moves you?
What gives you life?
What brings peace to your soul?
Are you pursuing that?

Whatever that is. Pursue that. Today, tomorrow and always.

This is the body of water God gave me this month. He doesn’t give mediocre gifts that’s for sure! This is the place where I read, pray and just chill out in my hammock. Very blessed!
