Chrislyn and I live in St. Louis, Missouri, where we met and later married in June of 2012. I have Missouri roots, but Chrislyn is an Oregon transplant.  She moved here with Teach For America in 2008.  Chrislyn now teaches 6th grade science and I teach elementary P.E.  In addition to teaching, Chrislyn has recently started working for Noonday Collection, a fair trade company that helps create economic opportunity for the oppressed around the world.

Chrislyn and I both love to travel.  This past summer we took a 7,000 mile road trip to visit family and explore the Southwest.  We both grew up playing sports and continue to do so as often as life allows.  We are seasonal joggers and bike riders.  We are year round card and board game players.   We are both very competitive by nature and love to challenge each other in whatever we do.

Our parents and siblings are spread out all over the country and even beyond, with one brother living in northern Africa.   Even so, we are blessed to have a close community in our local church, The Journey, that share life with us as our brothers and sisters in Christ.  We regularly gather, pray, and fellowship together, discipling one another.  It just so happens that two of these friends will also be leaving in July to take part in the World Race!
