Dear Racer,

Hi Friend. How are you? How is your Race so far? I want you to know, I am so proud of you, whatever country you are in, and whatever month you are in. All the blogs you’ve written (or the ideas that never quite made it online), all the laughs, tears, bugs, hospital visits, team times, travel days, and everything in between.

You are seen, dear Friend. You are not alone. You are not forgotten. You are not unqualified. Even though you might feel overlooked, unheard, unworthy, unloved, unnoticed, or alone, know that you aren’t. You are so deeply loved, by the Father, by your squad, by your team, by your supporters back home, and even the interesting character that you do ministry with every day.

You are seen. You are not alone.

What you are doing, teaching English, being a human jungle gym, passing out countless flyers, talking to people on the street, coffee shop ministry, or even on your off days when you have a conversation with the barista at your favorite coffee shop, you are making such a difference in the Kingdom.

The Father notices everything. He sees all that you do. Leaving notes of encouragement for your teammate. Taking out the trash, or doing dishes. You sitting with your host and talking for hours upon hours about your life and their life. The Father see’s every tear that you’ve cried late at night by yourself when you didn’t want anyone to see how much you were struggling. The Father sees you. And He is so proud. He is full of joy when He looks at you and watches your journey. And He is with you through it all. You aren’t alone and you are so incredibly loved.

You are incredibly loved.

One of the best pieces of advice that I’ve gotten from a former World Racer was give one more day. When you feel like you can’t go one anymore, when the bugs are too much, or you have a stomach bug for the 5th time, you caught malaria, or your team feels like it’s falling a part, give it one more day. Give the Lord one more day on the race. And then, give Him another. And keep giving the Father one more day until He shows you why He wanted one more day. And He will. It might take 3 months. It might might take 4 days. But He will show you.

You are so capable. You can finish this race strong. And the Father wants to use you to further the Kingdom. So keep going, Friend. You’ve got this! You can do it! I believe in you, and I’m here cheering you on. Just give it one more day.

    You’re awesome.

    With love,

    A fellow racer.
