Our first week of ministry is done!
It has been an amazing journey so far. We have been getting acclimated to the culture and the city, trying to find our way around the maze of streets. One thing about Pozarevac is there is ice cream everywhere. Like on every street there are at least 4-5 ice cream stands.
Pozarevac is considered a small town, but compared to Ramona, it’s pretty big. But I absolutely love it. My team and I sat one day and tried to figure out a word for this town, and we came up with picturesque. It feels like it’s a small city right out of a movie, with all the ice cream, the popcorn stands, bakeries and such.
During summer, the city closes the streets every night from 6 pm to 4 am. There are so many people walking the streets at night and just being with one another. It is such an awesome way to promote community.
This week has gone by so quickly, but I am so excited to see what the rest of this month holds and what God has in store for my team and I.
