In 2 months…
A little over a year ago God called me to apply for the World Race Gap year. When I got accepted he gave me promises about this trip. He promised me that I would experience growth, good times, hard times, ministry that would change the way I see the world, and community that would build kingdom.
Finishing my seventh month of this gap year, I can confidently tell you that I have seen God fulfill his promises. I have experienced emotional and spiritual growth, fruitful ministry, and I’ve learned how to fight for friendships. This has not been an easy process. Growing hurts and fighting for people requires leaving your ego at the door. Ministry has not always been a cake walk either, from exhausting hours farming to days you feel like you made no impact at all.
While this has been a journey that has been both difficult and rewarding, it is not over. I have TWO FULL MONTHS LEFT!!! Praise the Lord! I am making a declaration to stay present when I could fill my time longing for home, to pour into my teammates and ministry every day, and to make every last moment sweet. I am going to continue to choose Jesus. God is good y’all!!! See ya in 2 months(:
