One of the top reasons I love learning lessons from God: guaranteed laugh.

Let me just tell ya one of the many things I learned while in Ukraine…

For the past two months [even at training camp] every time any sport is suggested the first words out of my mouth are "I suck at this but I'm gonna play anyways.." You're probably thinking, oh that's so cute she always tries with her best. And that's okay because thats what I was thinking also…

The funny part is [the God part that makes me laugh] I was being told constantly that I didnt suck. God was using my teammates to tell me that while I may not be the best at throwing a frisbee or the most amazing batter, I am good enough. But being the human that I am, I wasn't listening.

But being the awesome God that He is…He didn't give up on me. Though I wasn't ready to learn, He was.

At the end of our fourth day of softball ministry, our new Ukrainian friends wanted us to join them in what I now call "Duck Duck Goose From Hell". Basically, its just like American Duck Duck Goose except you run with a partner holding hands…very tightly. Well my third partner was a rather large, very strong man. Also, he doesn't know the English word STOP. Before we could get half way around the circle I crashed into the tough, rocky Ukrainian baseball field, knees first. I thought my knee caps were shattered.

It is impossible to describe the pain I experienced for the last two weeks. Sitting Indian style and going up and down stairs….out of the question.
But the worst pain was sitting on the sidelines for the rest of ministry.

It doesn't matter how well you complete the task, how quick or how great it was. God is satisfied that you overcame the mountain in front of you.
I am the daughter of the King & I will climb this mountain with my hands wide open.
