It's easy in this life to waste TODAY by anticipating TOMORROW! We as humans of the 21st century are always looking forward to the next best thing…the next car, sporting event, relationship, holiday or vacation. The list goes on and on. It's the way we are wired, to always want and desire more. I tend to get caught up thinking about the next thrill, the next adrenaline rush or the next great adventure. I find myself daydreaming of the possibilities and "what if" moments of the future instead of fully embracing and enjoying the present tense. This mentality has robbed me of so much. So many relationships neglected and words left unsaid. So many adventures left unexplored and doors unopened. I have invested so much time pursuing/dreaming of tomorrow that I lose TODAY! I end up losing the endless opportunities of my present circumstances.

Not only have I have I robbed myself from blessings but I've also robbed blessings from others. Every moment of every day is an opportunity to love, to smile, to laugh, to appreciate, to savor, to enjoy, to make the best of everything and everyone. The past few months I've focused so much on where God is sending me and the people I'm going to serve that I've failed to serve the ones I love the most…my FAMILY! It's so easy sometimes to overlook the greatest blessings in our lives out of selfish ambition.  Yes, God has called me to GO on the World Race and to become a missionary but before that he MADE me to be a son, a brother and a friend.

Our Savior's life was one of service and sacrifice, of teaching and testifying, of loving and living!  Each and every person He met along His journey was changed by Him.He never took one moment for granted. You never hear Jesus say, "My ministry will be greater when I reach a certain country."  He simply ministered to each need along the way. I encourage you to take a moment and meditate on all that you have. Don't get so caught up in where God is taking you that you miss out on where he has you.

"Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes."

James 4:14
