In exactly 3 weeks I leave my home and drive to Atlanta, GA, to meet up with my World Race team and the rest of E squad. I will say goodbye to the horses, the farm, and my friends and family here in Delaware and head off to a country I’ve never seen before to love people I’ve never met before.
I will work hard, I will pray often, I will hear God’s voice in my life and I will experience my greatest joy because I know I am doing exactly what he has told me to do.
I will also experience discomfort and shed more than my fair share of tears along the way. I will probably wrestle with my fears, doubts and insecurities once or twice. Or three times. Maybe four. I don’t know. I figure it’s just a normal part of this journey I am on called life. I just happen to be doing it within a little community called “The World Race”. Community… hmm. I’ve learned a lot about that word that I’ll share with you in a later blog post. But until then…

I invite you to hear my heart, my thoughts, my struggles and victories.
I invite you to ask questions! I love your questions. About anything.
I invite you to struggle with me. Everyone needs someone to lean on.
I invite you to rejoice with me! Over everything that God is doing.
I invite you to pray over me. Pray blessings on me and my team. Pray that we will proclaim the gospel BOLDLY, pray that God will show his hand mightily and people will be blessed through us.
Finally, I invite you to talk to me! I may not always have to internet capabilities or remember to write to you every day, but I promise WILL read your emails, I WILL read your blog comments, I WILL RESPOND to you and IT WILL BLESS ME so much to hear from you! Missionary work can be lonely and sometimes a word of encouragement from home can be just the thing to pick you up and let you know you’re not forgotten.
So there it is, folks. You are officially invited to be a part of this thing, and in return for your investment in me, I promise to be open, honest and available to you.
