Ugh. Valentines Day was SO good. First, our men surprised us and decorated our kitchen with candy, hearts, love letters, and words of prophecy for all of us women. Good start eh?

Then I received a flower at work, cookies, more candy, and moved to share a desk with my Hopey. Ok Lord, this indeed is a good good day.

After work, Alys, Andrew, and I went on an adventure to the mountains for a special date with Jesus. (On the plane back from seeing my newborn niece, Kaila, Jesus asked me to be His valentine and told me to meet Him in the mountains of Georgia!) We didn’t end up going to the place we planned to, but we stumbled upon a subtly beautiful waterfall. We split up and carved out time and space for just ourselves and our True Love. It was lovely.

We get back to the house, where all our family is, and the men tell the women to grab journals and meet them in the living room. Hmmm, how could this day get any better Jesus? Well, one of the men began explaining what God had put on his heart for all the women in the house, and proceeded to play a song for us. He then told us that the men were going to leave and this was a special time for us to sit and be with the Lord and to explore His love for us. Whoa. Alright I’m down.

I start journaling and wrote these words:
“Well well, it seems that me meeting you at the waterfall was just the beginning, that wasn’t supposed to be the magic or the end all…you are somethin else….

I see your heart for me through Austin’s heart. The boys decorated the kitchen, wrote verses and prophecy for all of us and then brought us back here at five to tell us how special we are and to arrange a Love Encounter with You.

Such pursuit. Thanks Love.”

In that moment, I sat in a comfy chair and looked out at the lake and trees that can be seen from our gorgeous view. I was smitten and so FULL. I’m tellin you, Jesus is the ultimate. The first romancer and the BEST.

Is your heart open to Him? Do you give Him the room to romance you?

I would highly recommend it.
