Hi Everyone,

This month we have been working with Great Commission Church.  Their are over 30 Great Commission Churches in 11 countries throughout Latin America and they have many great ministries they are leading.  We had the opportunity to work with 2 of the ministries this month at our location in Choluteca, Honduras.  

The first ministry is CDI (Children Development Center).  It is similar to a before and after school program for kids ages 2-14 that are considered “at risk”.  Many of the children enter the program suffering from malnutrition.  CDI also works with children with mental handicaps.

We also worked at Casa Hogar which is a home for children who’s parents have passed away or abused them.  Casa Hogar currently has 13 children but the needs in Honduras are great and they are looking to expand the number of children they serve.

How you can help:

The Great Commission Church is always looking for partners in both of these ministries.  CDI has a direct child sponsorship program.  Casa Hogar also has a sponsorship program, but it works a little differently, as one child is usually sponsored by multiple people.
