Hey there!! Bear with me, as this is my first time blogging! I have been living in Dallas, Texas for about 13 years. Originally I am from Portland, Oregon. I am 24 years old and was awarded my Eagle Scout at age 18 when I was in Boy Scouts. Right now I am working as a Bartender in Flower Mound, TX.
Throughout my life I have worked mainly in hospitality jobs. I have explored being an entrepreneur by starting my own side businesses ranging from lawn mowing to putting out flyers for other existing establishments. I always knew there was more to life than a 9-5 job. I just never knew what that was. I prayed to God to show me in the right path. One day I was talking to my brother and he suggested a mission trip. That night I went on the internet and came across The World Race and knew in my heart that this is where God wants me to be.
I can’t tell you how excited I am to go on this amazing journey with all of my fellow brothers and sisters. I have never been away from home for 11 months before, let alone visited 11 different countries. This will prove to be an amazing learning experience and an opportunity to grow closer to God. I am a little worried, I mean the longest I have ever been away was for 2 weeks when I went to Philmont Scout Ranch with the Boy Scouts. I know in my heart that God will watch over me and also my family and friends while I am away.
