Last night we watched a movie with our ministry host and prayed prophetically over each other afterwards. We prayed for boldness, strength, perseverance and faith to trust in Jesus for our family, friends and ourselves. The movie we watched was more like a documentary about this man’s near death experience where he testified to encounter both the devil and God. At the time he was a young man with no wife or kids and he was living life as he pleased, traveling the world and enjoying life’s pleasures. He was diving in the ocean one day and was stung multiple times by deadly jelly fish. He did not die right away but there were a number obstacles that kept him from getting to the hospital immediately, that God used to humble him and point him towards his Lordship. Eventually he got medical attention but was actually pronounced dead for about 10 minutes. During those 10 minutes he had an encounter with both the devil and the Lord where he found himself in hell and taunted by Satan until the Lord plucked him out of the darkness and brought him into his LIGHT! There God revealed that his Son is the Light of the World! God is Light! As God was revealing himself and his kingdom to him, He also gave him the choice to come back to life. This man chose to come back to life to assure his mother that he did not go to Hell, that in his last moments in life, his mother’s prayers for him to know the Lord throughout his life actually lead him to cry out to the Lord! All this to say, he is alive up to this day and still uses this powerful testimony to urge people about surrendering their lives to Christ for their life’s sake!

After watching this documentary there were a few of our team members that really cried out for their friends and loved one to be saved. I felt compelled to share this story with you all because I want to let you know that we are praying for you! For all of my family and friends that do not have Jesus as Lord and Savior in their lives, I am praying that HE does WHATEVER IT TAKES for you to long for him to be the Lord of your lives! For him to grant you with the heavenly gifts of  peace, hope, faith, and love in Him to conquer this perishing world of pain, fear, addiction, greed, pride, despair, worry, shame, indulgence, and unrighteousness! As disciples of Christ we are called to be in communion with our Father. Our Father created us so we can live life with Him to glorify him in everything we do so that we can be in constant communion with him.  Since that communion was broken at Eden, God had redeemed man’s choice of not choosing him, by choosing his one and only righteous Son who could live in perfect communion with Him to pay our debt of eternal damnation (life without God in total darkness, burning in the fires of hell) through his long suffering death on the cross. But then He rose from the dead and triumphed over death so that we can be in communion with Him! So while we wait for him, he is preparing a new place for us in heaven, a new heaven and a new earth where we will reign with him forever and ever! What a glorious thought! This is not our home! There’s more to life than what this world offers! Life is meant to be PERFECT, without pain, fear, addiction, greed, pride, despair, worry, shame, indulgence, unrighteousness…without death. We are meant to live in abundance, peace, happiness, joy and holiness. All this can be ours if you put all of your trust in Jesus! Jesus is life! Jesus is the way, the truth and the light!

Until Jesus comes back, one of the ways we communicate with the Lord is to pray for his people! To share the gospel truth and make disciples of all nations so that all may come to know His Son and be saved from eternal separation from the Father, where they will be left alone in the darkness to be continuously fed with lies from the Father of all lies and be abandoned from the Father of truth and love!

This is a matter of everlasting life or death! I am so grateful for this truth that the Lord has so craftily revealed to me through every large and minute circumstance of my life. I truly believe that HE does work everything out for OUR good, no matter how large or minute the circumstance may seem. What will you choose?
