I ran into an old friend yesterday while I was at the gym and she introduced me to this well known phrase. I apologize for not updating this blog in awhile. A lot has happened in the last 6 weeks. I am scheduled to launch with the World Fusion team this Sunday, but it brings me sadness to inform you that I will no longer be leaving with this team this Sunday. I have postponed my trip till either August or October of next year (depending on whether or not the route I chose is available). Due to some personal circumstances, I have decided to stay. Which is why I thought the title fits with this chapter in my life. Proverbs 19:21 says that Many are the plans in a person’s heart,  but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.

I vacillated between staying or going for a few days last week. I received counsel from my friends, co-workers, one of my pastors and most importantly the Lord and I felt at peace with my decision. I am being called to be a missionary here at home for now…the Lord’s purpose prevails

So again I say…Lord willing I will still be able to do the World Race. Staying an extra 8-10 months will give me time to fully raise the amount of funds needed to go on the race without worrying about being sent home early. A friend of mine helped me put this short film together to help promote this mission. We may have to edit this video since the dates and countries are different now, but generally this is my story and why I want to go.

The reason I want to go is still the same, however my timing was off  So please take a moment and watch the video and please continue to pray for me and support in anyway that you can. I hope you all enjoyed celebrating with your loved ones this holiday season. Christmas, the gift of God’s son to us is the best gift that we have all anticipated, enjoyed and can be satisfied with. This is worth sharing.
