PLOT TWIST: WE ARE GOING TO KENYA!!
In November (Month 3) our squad is scheduled to serve in Ethiopia. And while most of our squad will be doing crazy awesome ministry there, our team and 1 other team will be pioneering through Kenya! Kenya was once a country the Race served in. But they pulled out a few years ago. Well, we are going to try it again! And our teams are so pumped for the opportunity to re-ignite that partnership. Let me just say this, Manna Worldwide has 140 projects in 37 countries. How awesome is that??
Something you will notice through our journey this year is that change occurs frequently. Change is inevitable on the World Race. It happens. And for type A personalities (like me, Ashley) change can be tough. But to be honest, I think our team handled the change well. We are all really excited for what is going to happen in Kenya!
What is funny is that I (Ashley) was drawn to this route because of Ethiopia … how ironic that God was like “Umm, Ashley, I have different plans for you.” I mean my plans don’t compare to God’s plans anyway. So, I choose to trust in Him!
