I thought we were safe.
We weren’t given any indication that we weren’t.
There weren’t even any warning signs.
But nobody was safe this time.
Every one of our eight teams was affected in some way.
Affected by what, you may ask?
On the World Race, they are some of the most dreaded words:
TEAM CHANGES!
Every so often throughout our eleven months, they switch around teams to ensure maximum growth. While it is dreaded, I think we all recognize that it is necessary and beneficial.
But what is necessary and beneficial isn’t always easy. In fact, often it is HARD.
But hard is what brings us closer to Christ and closer to our family, to the body of Christ.
Team changes were hard. Team Shekinah lost our dear sisters, Jessa and Jenni, to different teams. While I am so sad that I don’t get to spend the next five months with these girls, I’m so excited for their new teams to experience all the wisdom, joy, and encouragement that Jessa and Jenni have to share with them.
I’m also excited for the new girls on our currently nameless team! Hayden and Amanda have now joined Allyson, Liz, Natasha, Jen and me to form a new team!
Hayden Furlow is from Texas. She is true and genuine in all she does, whether it be leading worship, her powerful prayers, riding elephants or petting tigers, or just hanging out with friends. Hayden has already worked with our team two months on the Race, so she was already like part of our team and I’m super excited that she officially is!

Amanda Grimwood has an incredible voice and so much musical talent it’s ridiculous! But her talent doesn’t stop with music. This woman has incredible patience with kids, has some powerful words, and can bring laughter to anyone’s day. Such an amazing addition to our team, I’m excited about all I’m going to learn from her!

Even though we weren't "safe" from team changes, I am truly thankful for them and looking forward to seeing God push as all to new levels in the coming months! This team of women is truly amazing and I am so blessed!
