“Who do you want to be in 11 months?”

This was the question presented to us before we left for a retreat this weekend, and this is what kept running through my mind during the bus trip, throughout a hike up a mountain, and as I enjoyed the beauty around me at Lake Atitlan. Honestly, I hadn’t thought about this. I knew I wanted to change, to become more Christ-like, to learn to love. But Seth’s question challenged me to think through who I want to be, so I can work toward that, so I can live life on purpose.

So, in 11 months, I want to be:

  1. Seeking God in every decision, big and small.
  2. A servant to those around me, putting their needs before my own.
  3. Bold in my witnessing.
  4. A prayer warrior.
  5. Able to face my fears and put aside worry.
  6. Open to feedback and change, accepting feedback I’m given, taking it to heart, and becoming more Christ-like as a result.
  7. Loving to the “unlovable” and “unwanted.”
  8. Willing to voice my opinion and be myself.
  9. Brave enough to try new things.
  10. Fully of joy, shining Christ’s light each time I enter a room.
  11. In shape and exercising regularly. 🙂
