Not OK
- 5 year olds being raped.
- Kids so traumatized by the abuse that they never want to see their father again.
- Families picking out their meals from a trash dump.
- Ten and twelve year olds forced into prostitution
- Twelve-year-olds sniffing glue.
- Young girls being violated by their own fathers.
- Kids who don’t smile because of the pain they’ve already been through in their short lives.
- Women who are prostitutes simply because they don’t know any other way of life.
- Men who think it’s ok to treat women and girls like objects.
- Corrupt police who rape the women they should be protecting.
- Young boys shining shoes late at night outside the airport.
- Areas of town so dangerous that we are not allowed to go there.
- Brothels.
- Street corners full of teenage girls, waiting for customers to pick them up.
- Siblings begging together on the streets.
And it’s only month three……
God, thank You for showing me the injustice of this world, for breaking my heart for what breaks Yours. Show me how I can feed the hungry, clothe the naked, break the chains.

As I was writing this, I walked past my teammate, Natasha, and saw a poem she was writing called It's Not OK. Check it out on her blog- http://natashafirooznia.theworldrace.org/?filename=its-not-ok
