I honestly don’t even know where to start. Ive never been good talking about myself! To be honest I’m just a normal guy who likes normal things. Just to put who I am in a paragraph I love sports. LOVE LOVE LOVE sports. No joke! I cant remember the last time there was a year when I wasn’t involved in some kind of sports team or recreation. Growing up from kindergarten, middle school, high school, college and even after college, I have always been around sports. So I guess you could say I’m a sports nut.
But aside from all the sports junk, I studied in the field of animation but really turned into the direction of digital design, to photography. I would have to say when I’m not playing sports, I love taking pictures. Ironically I’m a photographer who loves to capture stories in the moment. As of now I am a photographer for a real estate company but I know I will grow into my field when the time is right. I have my own my website with a few pictures, but I bet that will change during my upcoming mission trip! But for now, this is what I have!
I think the real story that people want to know while reading this would be my love, my passion to serve. I don’t want to go into much detail but I am adopted. And it’s funny because when I always introduce my parents to people the first thing they always say is, “Ben, your parents are white.” That comment literally gets me every time. As if I didn’t know for 20 plus years. But as life as gone on, Ive noticed how lucky I am to have a family and how lucky, how blessed I am to be adopted. With that feeling and few other details, I found my way towards Christ and just simply realized that I need God, I want God. Knowing that God doesn’t need us, but that He WANTS us is amazing. And that gives me the desire to serve. To be given this opportunity to serve overseas in 11 different countries is something I could have never thought of a year ago, and now I’m going to be doing it. I cant wait to see what happens!
