Hola! Como Estan!?!
Today is 11-11-2014 and I am currently at $11,800 of the $16,300 in financial support. This money will get me through until February, which is a few months away, but what better time than now, 11-11 to reveal my continual need for financial support for this missions trip through 11 countries in 11 months! To make it better, I want to ask that everyone who reads would support me with another $11 dollars!! $11 on 11-11 for 11n11!!
I have full trust that the Lord will provide in one way or another, even when I am completely unsure as to where the money would come from. The Lord is good and in his work being done, I am confident he will provide. If he doesn’t, then it is truly his will and I am meant to come home. Which my incredible girlfriend, Steph would be estatic over, haha. Maybe. 😛 I do need to voice my need for money. I have until Februrary, so the need is not urgent, but trying to prepare for continuing networking and asking for support is always good.
But.. in you supporting me in these minstries I am involved with, I want to update you on the ministries that Team Free to Be and myself are involved with in Trujillo, Peru!! We have been working with Joel Savage and his Peruvian wife, Maria in the school they have started, the church on their compound as well as the church they are partnered with, and english classes for locals around the compound and churches. Joel and his wife are working to bring the Gospel to an area that is plagued with much corruption and problems due to presense of Catholicism.
The school is fantastic! They have ages between 3-5 and have just around 14 kids, I think. They are adorable and truly have a willingness to learn unlike I have seen in little kids in the states. But the best part of the school is that they provide it.. FOR FREE! The teachers are Maria and one other lady who are so perfect for the positions. They love the kids and encourage them in fantastic ways. We also get to interact with the parents to encourage them to continue to sacrifice for their kids educations, as well as pray for them. Very cool.
After the school ends we start an english class at the compound at 3pm. It is mostly people from the church and direct area who come for lessons. We each take a different age group, of which I have youth aged kids from 13-18ish. I have mostly focused on 3 girls who have come faithfully. They are so much fun and are so hungry to learn english. So as I teach them english, through vocabulary as well as grammer, it forces me to learn more Spanish to be able to interact properly! Its great, plus they teach me so much.
But at 4:30 or 5pm we leave to go to another english class at the church Joel partners with, named ‘El Yo Soy,’ translated to ‘The I AM.’ Very cool name that is fitting for a congregation that truly sees Christ as the I AM and chases passionately after him. We have just recently started this class, as desire for it increased. So we will see what fruit comes from it!
With our working with the Churches, we have bene able to give the pastors a break from preaching. So you can essentially call me a pastor now… 🙂 haha. Not really, but I really do enjoy preaching. To see the Lord move through the people. To be a vessel for the words of the Lord to spread and the Holy Spirit be invited is so awesome! Truly a blessing to me and my team to be given this opportunity. I preach again tomorrow, and Im not quite sure on what exactly yet. So pray for me!
Speaking of prayer! I earnestly desire prayer. There is so many things we do here, and ministries that are on edge, that God has to move. Nothing we do could change things, but only because of God. So for me, my team, and the minstries we are in contact with, please be in prayer. There is a lot to do, but we serve an awesome God, “who is able to do IMMEASURABLY more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.” Eph 3:20.
Thank you and God Bless
