I´m in a continuous eating contest with Jaun Carlos. We battle for the most tortillas every day. I think I got him beat at lunch today, but I don´t know. Life is good in Comultecha. I definetly enjoy the food here in Mexico. But God has been so amazing as we set out and do ministry as well. We have been visting so many homes and praying with people. Every evening we have a little service at the home of these wonderful Christians. After our first day of visitations, a few of the people we talked with showed up at our service. That was the most amazing thing to see. I know that the ministry we were able to be apart of this week will continue as we leave. The woman we talked with that recently lost her husband… she´ll find comfort in Christ as she gets discipled at these services. The joy of the Lord is our strength, and our team is trying to live that out. I preached on the joy we have in Christ and that He should be the most important thing in our lives at the service last night. It was the first time I had ever preached with a translator, (Megan did a great job by the way) and God just brought a smile to my face as I looked out at the faces of the people. Dogs, turkeys, pigs, goats, chickens, roosters, and all sorts of animals contribute to the worship, but that´s what makes Mexico so great. Pray for our team. Some of them have gotten a little sick this week, and we don´t want that to continue. Pray for the people at the homes we visit. Pray that we will have strength and endurance for this part of the trip as it comes to a close. And when you get to the end of your daily prayers, throw one up about making up the mountain of time we collected during the next race leg. Pray that we win, and that we get to the top of the volcano in Guatemala first!!!
