Life as a world racer has begun and I am not sure what exactly that looks like! I have lived in my tent for a week and I actually have fallen in love with it. Community living is not as bad as I thought. Team unity has been amazing! I am loving fruits, veggies, and other foods I would have never eaten at home. Life for me is changing and yes it’s a little scary but also very exciting. The change going on is a little overwhelming at times.
We have spent every morning and evening in worship and that has been a struggle for me. It was hard to get into the worship and it was very hard for me to understand the sermons and sessions. Friday night that all changed for me. God moved in my life in a mighty way! I was determined to hear from God and I was willing to do whatever that took. I was just worshipping but I really was not feeling it at all! Then I began to feel God in a mighty way. Several people prayed over me and spoke to me and God really worked in my life! I realized I had to let go of Arkansas and embrace this trip! God has great things for me here this year and I have to stop worrying about home! I do love my family, friends, church, and life back home but I can not allow home to bring me down! I am going through the abandonment stage of the race! So its goodbye Arkansas for now! I love you and will miss you this next year!
I know this next year is going to be amazing. I know there will be times that will be great and times that will be very hard. I know I’m going to figure out who I am and who God has planned for me to be. I may be a long process or short one. I am just excited to “grow into my coat”! I am just very thankful for this year in my life and its all beginning now! I am really still trying to figure out my place on this race and I do not want to rush that so I am just taking it one day at a time!
We are actually on our way to our first ministry site! Yes I am on a bus with free wi-fi and I’m a little shocked! We will be staying at another camp site and we are no longer with K squad! I’m looking forward to ministry! We will be working with 2 other teams on J-Squad! Praying for God to do great things in us and through us! We will be here for 2 weeks and then we are on our way to Romania!
