Each month we ask our contact if he or she has a word from the Lord for us. Last month we asked Pastor Naboth if he would give each one of us a word before we left. We were sitting in his office one day and he gave each one of us a card to open.

This is what he handed me, an encouraging word from the Lord.

I feel led to share it with you as well, maybe you are in need of some encouraging words from our loving father as I have been.

“Dear Caring One,

I appreciate your tend heart that is willing to be touched by the needs and pains of others. Your choice to be patient and kind in trying circumstances makes you delight to the heart of God while it offers those on earth an opportunity to sample His goodness.

You saw my heart conditions as I fed the hungry, forgave the woman caught in sin, and looked into Peter’s eyes without condemnation as he denied me in front of my enemies.

Perhaps you have been advised to use “tough love” in order to right a wrong or just stand for what you know is right. Surely, your ‘yes’ should be ‘yes’ and your ‘no’ a real ‘no’. However, your willingness to offer your life as a vessel of my love produces unsurpassed fulfillment for you and for me. Beyond the temporary pain of rejection or apparent failure lies the Father’s praise and prize. Both of these are permanent and they are waiting for you, dear tender hearted one.

Look up!”
