I always knew I would love Thailand, especially the amazing food!

We got the privilege of serving at Phetchaboon Rajabat University. There we worked with the English department and helped with the classes for all four year students. We were treated amazingly well. Thai people are some of the most hospitable people I know. It is called the land of smiles for a reason.
In addition to teaching english classes during the week, we were able to put on three English camps, two for the university students and one for preschoolers. That was another fun experience for me because I got to use some experience I have with camps from my previous jobs. It was really cool because we got to have so many interactions with the students and develop really good relationships. They asked us why we came and we got to share about our faith and share our belief in God.
Our contact, Mae was the biggest joy for me.

I connected with her like no other ministry contact I’ve had in the past. She is an amazing women who loves the Lord fearlessly. She is around my age and went to school to study the bible. She is Thai but has studied in the states so she was very familiar with our american culture. It was a blast hanging out with her. She taught me a lot. She is a natural leader and go getter. She handles so many things with excellence and knows how to get things done without getting overwhelmed. She is also opening a coffee shop soon.
The thing about Mae is that it’s just her and the Lord. She doesn’t have a staff of people helping her with her ministry. She knows that God called her to minister to students so she’s doing it. She’s following God all by herself and trusting that he will give her strength. She doesn’t have a church in her city, she doesn’t have a community of believers, she doesn’t have a family that shares her faith, she just had the Lord. But then again she doesn’t JUST have the Lord, she puts all her faith and strength in him, and he is more than enough. It is amazing to see a women like Mae follow the Lord fearlessly, relying on Him for her strength.
