After 3 days of traveling there was only one thought on my mind: Ineed a shower. I like to be clean and the Asian humidity wasn’t
allowing me to stay that was. It was the first thing I did when we
arrived at our Launch location in Manila. It was glorious. I didn’t
even mind that it was a little cold because of the 95-degree heat and
100% humidity that was plaguing my body. As soon as I stepped out of
the shower I immediately started sweating again. But what, this isn’t
supposed to happen! You see, when I remember back to my Race I don’t
remember all the inconvenient, slightly annoying things. I generally
remember the good times. But it all came back to me as sweat poured
down my clean body. I’m not going to lie, my first thought was thought
“and why am I doing this AGAIN?”
This week I watched 75 new Racers:
- Take care of orphans.
- Choose in to community and their teams.
- Being to create a culture of high safety, high preference, high courage and high honor among their teams and squad.
- Pray to raise a woman from the dead (Read Marlena’s account of it here).
- Experience extreme poverty for the first time.
- Prophesy life into each other and the Philippines.
- Be willing and open to change.
- Have the eyes opened to the incredible things the Lord is going to do in and through them this year.
spiritually preparing the Racers for their year. From team debriefs to
teachings, to one-on-ones to logistics we literally didn’t stop. But I
didn’t come out of the week completely exhausted. I was actually
energized. I get to train, disciple and empower 36 people to find their
callings and kingdom dreams and follow them. They bring me life!
