Our Asia Race Day was around the city of Bangkok. Jenny B gave us 10 tasks to complete and whoever could come complete as many of the 10 in four hours would win. A couple of the tasks were finding out information about the city so we went to Darci’s room to use the internet and get those out of the way first. While we were there, Dave said “Hey guys, wouldn’t it be funny if we just Photoshoped ourselves into pictures of the places.” He was only joking but leave it to Spectacle to want to do something like that. Good thing Dave and I taught Photoshop in Cambodia. We wanted to make it seem like we really went to those places and to trick the squad, so our plan was to put them on a camera and show them to Jenny on the small screen. Well the files wouldn’t transfer…I guess that’s what happens when you cheat. We didn’t know what other teams would think, but hey, we had an awesome time doing it!
So we spent 2 of the four houses on Photoshop and it was a blast. Then we went to get one of the two required tasks from jenny at a Starbucks, where she specifically told us to “be creative.” We were cracking up laughing because she had no idea we had already been creative! We had no worries after that. One of our tasks was to “feed a homeless family.” Well we’re all homeless this year and we are a family…so we fed ourselves some Burger King and headed to the mall to print the pictures.
We ended up getting to the final destination five minutes late, but we later found out that if we would have gotten there on time then we would have won. Haha. Jenny loved it and said our Photoshoping counted as tasks completed! Go Team Spectacle!
Even though it wasn’t a “normal Race Day” I wouldn’t trade this Race Day for anything.
