Some days it seems like only yesterday that I was starting out on the World Race. But now I get to experience that all over again!
In September I will be going overseas again, this time as a squad leader to Passport Immersion.
Passport Immersion is a journey that takes 18-22 year olds to 3 countries on 3 continents for 3 months each. So yes, I will be gone for 9 more months leading a squad of over 50 young people who want to bring the Kingdom of God to Earth as it is in Heaven.
Of course only God could make me want to do something like this. When the opportunity first came to me, my answer was a stern “NO!” I had just finished the race and I had not even been home yet. On top of that, I want to start getting other things in my life under way. But as I prayed and reflected and thought about the whole of my life and what it would amount to and the cause of world missions, everything turned around.
How could I not go?
There is a God who calls us to go to the nations to make Him known and to make disciples. That task is not done. There are nations where most of the people do not know the love of the Father or the name of Jesus. And there are many young people who know that there is more to life than the status quo and are yearning to be a part of something bigger. And God is inviting me to be a part of all of these things. It is very humbling and at times quite intimidating. But I am sure that where God calls He supplies.
But to make this happen, and to continue being part of this work that God is doing I need your help. I need to raise $4,500 for my entire time on the field. If you feel called to support me and the work that God has called me to, it would be a huge blessing.
