Wow! How God is exploding in my life!

First, let me tell you how great God is at sincerely providing every need. Time and time again, God just keeps showing up and showing out. Take for instance, my work. Right now, I have been working at CVS Pharmacy and God just keeps opening up doors for me! When I moved back to my hometown from college, I thought that I would be getting about 15 hours or so to work and I was really stressed out because I thought I would have to find a second job for the summer. I need to work to raise money for this Race! But, God knows already knew that need in my life and already had a perfect design laid out for me. So, not only have I been getting 15 hours, but I have been getting about 40+ hours a week! Praise God and Thank you to my manager, Mr. Tony! Really yall, try out Matthew 21:22! “Have faith that you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." How many times have I overcomplicated that or denied God’s power in this simple command? Wow! So, God has opened the flood doors with working opportunities! God has also placed in my workplace a new opportunity to show Jesus’ unfailing, pure love and grace to a new employee. Why wait till you are overseas to be used? Use me God, everyday, everyway to everyone! Thank you Jesus for lifting that burden of working two jobs and for providing in this area my life!

Secondly, if you have never experienced the love of Jesus through your church family, you are missing out! Long story short, I received the opportunity to plan, organize and excute a church wide yardsale at my church. However, I only had about two weeks to do everything! So, before I got too overwhelmed with all the “to-dos”, I emailed a few friends and family to be in prayer for me and that God would help me with time management and priorities. Obviously, working overtime limits your time to plan a church wide yard sale! Nevertheless, the power of prayer is evident and people are responding! I got a full week off from work so I could really devote to this fund raiser and I have received so many donations from family, friends, church members and strangers! People are really responding to 1 John 3:17, Matthew 19:21, Acts 2:45! Never doubt the power of prayer or underestimate ability of the body of Christ to give! So far, I have received a pool table and accessories, a dining room table and chairs, a stove, a 60 inch screen tv and so, so much more! That is God working right there! My church family is extremely supportive and I am in awe of their faithfulness and willingness to donate, volunteer and pray! The yardsale is July 8th and 9th! Please be in prayer that it will go smoothly and according to God’s will! All this is for His glory anyway!

Third, When we do simple acts of obedience for God, He awards greatly! In some of my other blogs, I mentioned this journey of self abandonment. Everyday, you have to wake up and commit to the Lord. Just by being obedient or doing things that are normally uncomfortable for the sake of the Cross…these things are very pleasing and delightful the Lord! So, continue to be faithful in the small things because God will graduate you to bigger things! For example, I had to lay down my flesh and follow the Lord in a particular instance. Later, I got an email from my squad leader that another route had opened up for the Jan 2012 team. Well, I prayed about it and decided to take a sneak peek at the new route. Oh boy! I did not even make it pass the first country and I was already jumping, screaming and smiling! By the time I got to the fifth country, I was crying I was so overjoyed! When I read the eleventh country, I was already calling my leader to let him know I was extremely interested! Don’t get me wrong, I was extremely excited about the first route and was just as excited! But, this route had a different type of excitement and passion! Neither one is better or worse than the other, I would take all 22 countries if I could! Its just that for a very long time, one of my heart’s desire has to serve in Central America! All the other 8 countries have been a huge dream of mine as well! I mean really! Kenya! Tanzania! Uganda! Ukraine! I remember just laughing and crying all at the same time saying, God! It was one simple act of obedience! One little thing that I did today for your glory and you reward me this greatly?! THIS IS AMAZING!!

I got so tickled. It was almost like God was saying, “these are blessings I had planned for your parents, your grandparents, your great-grandparents! You chose to be obedient, so now I get to pour all their blessings on you!”

I am just so overwhelmed! God is magnificent and abundant in blessings! He wants to use us!! As I send out my letters this week, please soak this process in prayer! Pray that those who read this opportunity to walk along side me will prayfully consider touching the nations and making disciples! All this is not about me! It is all about God and His kingdom! Also, be in prayer for the yard sale! This would be a great help to the fundraising portion!

Thanks for taking the time to read this! Let me know if there is anything I could be in prayer for you!

To God be all the Glory!

One Love!
