I recently got back from training camp and it was so much more than ever expected.

I learned so much about the Holy Spirit and I learned how to stay still and listen. Throughout the two weeks I was there, we learned three topics: Intimacy, Missional living, and community.

First: Intimacy. I have always known intimacy with God is important. I never fully understood how to create that, or what it actually looked like to be personal with Christ, until I learned what it looked like for me to worship. I realized that not everyone worships the same. I worship in nature and art.

Second: Missional living. Living in missions is most successful when you learn to die to yourself and live in Christ. It’s about giving up self and living to serve others and spread God’s love. Also, to live in missions is an all the time thing. Gods love is spread all the time, not just on mission trips.

Third: Community. Community is something that a lot of people live without. And by that, I don’t mean just any people surrouning a person. I mean surrounding yourself with people who will positively affect you and your outlook. At training camp, I met friends that I wish I had in Keller. I actually met someone who lives 5 miles away from me and he is a phenomenal person. I had to drop a lot of friends at training camp because I see who is a negative influence on my life but God blessed me with someone else.

Lastly, an update on fundraising. 6 days before training camp, Wednesday, I was at $5400. By Sunday night, I was at $9765. On the Fourth of July, (the day before training camp), I was at a party, about to leave, when a young friend of mine came up to me and handed me exactly $235, which is exactly the amount I needed to reach my second goal of $10000.

I am currently at $10170, and need $4781 by December 29th. Thank you everyone for the love and blessings. I hope you all have a blessed day!
