I’m currently about to start on my second year of seminary in New Orleans. I am originally from Jackson, MS and I have two parents 🙂 and two brothers and I’m the wonderful middle child AND only girl!
Growing up, I played sports my whole life and was involved in just about anything I could be involved in…church, choir, mission trips, youth camps, band, Student Body President, FCA, Who’s Who, etc. As I entered college, I was pretty tired! 🙂 So, I decided to just stick with soccer and let that be it. But I couldn’t just be involved in one thing so I joined BSU, RUF and became a youth minister/worship leader! A few of my passions (besides God) are traveling, people, and music.
During college I promoted Christian bands around the state of MS and after college I went to Indonesia twice, Alaska twice, California, Arizona, and eventually landed in New Orleans. During those times I was either hiking mountains, climbing glaciers, planting churches, working with college students, or attending seminary. Also during those times I had a variety of hair colors…blue, green, red, white, yellow, pink, and now black.
I am a pretty laidback person who loves to have good conversations over a cup of coffee and some incense, and at the same time I am a very outgoing adventurous outdoorsy person who loves to play outside in the dirt.
The Lord has definitely “called” me to missions. I have done missions all over the U.S. and in Indonesia and Africa. I absolutely love God’s people!
I’ve always told my friends that I wanted to apply for the show “Amazing Race” and then my friend in Africa sent me an email about this program through AIM and i flipped out! It was like this dream to be a part of the Amazing Race could actually come true and be 100 times better than the show b/c we’ll be doing missions.
