My lovely teammate, Ana aka Agnus, wholeheartedly believed that the sweetest moments happen when we get to share them. From month 1 in Cambodia to month 4 in Uganda, I have seen the Conquerors grow through disagreements, indecisiveness, and feedback. I have seen the Conquerors encourage one another towards our potential, whether in talents or future dreams. And I have seen the Conquerors accept each other through weird (even unexpected) bodily functions… Honestly, I could not have asked for a better team to share the “sweetest moments” with.
Months ago when we first did this pose, Natalie was the only person that was thrilled because she was a member of a sorority in college. However, I’ve come to realize that this pose was a true reflection of our unique team dynamic… that despite our small differences and our “weirdness” we’ve learned to embrace each other and just laugh! Also, we rocked those African dresses like a boss, don’t you think? 😉
***L-Squad has made a few minor changes in teams. Lynda, Ana, and Katie Allen (from team Hungry Youngsters) are now being trained to be our new squad leaders. I must say that the announcement was a bittersweet moment for me. However, God’s plans are bigger than my own and He reminds me of that daily. So I’m excited to journey and experience this new year with a new team member, Diane Kelly!!! Follow her blog at dianekelly.theworldrace.org. We are now TEAM DREAM’N, which is an acronym of all of our names, including Monkey (Diane’s puppet friend).
Prayer Requests:
1. Pray for the three leadership trainees as they step into a new & exciting position
2. Pray that God continues to bring team unity within the 6 teams of L-Squad
3. Pray for good health as our bodies has gone through many transitions
4. Pray against tiredness & any form of spiritual warfare
5. & lastly, pray that team DREAM’N will live up to it’s name!
Mahalo,
