The last week or so of Thailand flew by and a ton happened.
Here’s a summary of everything…
* Bangla Road blackout – God continued to confirm that the blackout is part of His plan for Bangla Road. Unfortunately we are not the ones who get to see it. We still believe 100% that it IS going to happen. And God even gave us a little treat just to show us that He is faithful and He does have this in His plans – about 30 minutes before we started ministry on our last night several of us were hanging out at our home base (Starbucks) and preparing for the night. Out of nowhere all the lights in Starbucks started flickering and as Erin looked outside, the lights along the entire road were flashing on and off. It was an awesome moment – keep praying!
* Manistry – Drew had an amazing time with the men this month! They worked really hard doing farm work and construction – Drew lost 14 pounds! He may have lost weight, but he gained tons of confidence during this time. Drew and the guys are closer and more confident than ever and the girls are ecstatic to have them back as even stronger leaders of our squad.
* Where we’re at now – Our squad is now in Kenya! It’s been great to have everyone back together to encourage and challenge each other. If you would have met our squad in January and then seen them again now, you wouldn’t even know we were the same group of people! God has moved in unbelievable ways and we can’t wait to see what He has for us on the 2nd half of the race – yes, we are HALFWAY through the race! And the weather has been a blessing – we’ve all gotten used to the 100 degree weather with 90% humidity in Asia but now we’re all wearing jeans and long sleeves! Praise Jesus for 60 degrees!
That pretty much sums it up for now! Ridiculous will be starting our new ministry on Monday so we’ll have updates on that asap. But before we do that, we’ll put up a picture blog of Thailand so you can SEE more of what we did!
much love.
