Friends and Family,
AUSTIN HERE ๐
I truly hope the Lords peace finds where ever you are at! It is free and our God is so loving, patient, and kind! All glory to His name!
OK SO!
It is hard to believe we just have a few weeks left in Charleston, the city I have been called to over the past 4 years! Hard to believe…Alot of that has to do with the fact that I never intended to stay in Charleston this long. My plan was to move back to Greenville ASAP and do that dance (key word there…. ^^^ MY PLAN) This was not Gods plan and when I decided to give my plans to Him, well HERE WE ARE! Moving into this next season! These past 4 years have been incredible, but our prayer was “if you are calling us somewhere else Your will be done” and here we go! This has been a process over the past year or so and we now find ourselves packing, fundraising, about to move back in with my parents for a few months, and leaving our comfort of community and what is “known” and routine! Praise GOD!
We find ourselves in the process of fundraising right now and everything that comes along with that. The human tendency to worry or get anxious, the elation when a total stranger decides to donate after hearing our story, and trusting the Lord through it all! We currently find ourselves a little behind in our minds but trusting the Lord to provide as He has called us to this. I sold my Jeep and my drums (yeah I know…drums were tough but they are going to a good home at Awaken ๐ We trust the Lord is not only going to provide for us financially but also simply through how He can teach us! His provision is not bound by our human minds. I believe His provision also looks like Him teaching me patience and to trust Him! He is so good and so patient! He is providing me with opportunities to learn! We constantly are telling ourselves to trust the Lord through this. It is so awesome to also see how the Lord is using others and moving on their hearts as they join us in this journey and adventure! Whether its donations or prayer we are already seeing some awesome, moving things go on that is only through the Lord Jesus!
As we move from the fundraising, trusting, and learning process we now move into the “good stuff”…..moving. We are slowly but surely exercising our desires to not be procrastinators and already starting to box some stuff up. With that comes our idea of a garage sale! October 8th, 2016 we will be hosting our very own garage sale and selling off items that we are not going to be taking with us, which is ALOT but we are excited about it! From nick knacks around the house, to clothes and lamps we got it all- so if you are in town come on out! ๐ All funds again will be going towards our mission. When mentioning packing and moving some might ask, “where are they moving to?” Im glad you asked- we will be going back to Greenville to stay with my lovely mother and father. The Fowler nest will no longer be empty! We are excited as well as nervous in some senses, but see it as a blessing to move back in with family! We are also very excited to be back in the city where we have established friendships as well. It will be nice to catch up.
Me and Faith both are very adamant about community where ever we are and desire to have others pushing us to Jesus as we pursue and follow Him. So we are excited to see what we can get plugged into in the few months we are back in G-Vegas as well!
In closing, we are very excited about what is to come in the next few weeks, months and year! We see the Lord already giving us tiny little bits of encouragement through His people and simply just who He is! It is incredible to experience! It is also challenging, but thats where Jesus comes in and says “You are mine, I love you so much, keep going, WE GOT THIS!”
For me with this next season does come with a lot of learning and challenges, but again we have the Spirit to guide us and ultimately we have Jesus! But I do want to throw out the challenge for us all to have an opportunity to learn. What is it the Lord may be calling you to? Me and Faith realized we had been in Charleston close to 4 years and could see ourselves there for another 4 years, and that would be ok with us, but about this LIFE TO THE FULL Jesus is calling us to? What is that calling? Could it be a calling to step out of our comfort zone and take a risk for Jesus and the mission He is calling us to? It might not be to go across the world, but could be to go across the street to a neighbor. When we look at the life of someone following Jesus, it is full of risk, but in my words “beautiful risk” that produce a beautiful reward- knowing Jesus and everything that comes along with that!
For us it is answering the call in our hearts we discussed over the time we have been getting to know each other, to go! We are so excited about this ADVENTURE we are about to embark on and so happy to invite you into it!
What is your next step and how do you see yourself tangibly getting there?
What is your adventure- SEEK IT OUT! SEEK JESUS!
SEEK ADVENTURE,
Austin
