Krystle stayed with Marvin and his family all day today. She was struggling through the whole day as Marvin’s life was at her disposal. She knew that there was no budget for the additional required funds, and she didn’t know if the medicine would even be worth it since he would probably die anyways.

Here are the facts:

  • We paid $140 for Marvin’s medicine with money that we don’t really have
  • Marvin is dying of Meningitis and was having seizures
  • His family is staying with him all night, pumping an artificial breathing apparatus by hand to keep him alive
  • Marvin has permanent brain damage
  • The money paid for Marvin’s medicine doesn’t fix all the problems and it won’t last more than a few days
  • After the medicine runs out, it is looking like Marvin will die
  • Marvin’s father can hardly hold back his tears enough to deal with the situation. His family pumps the apparatus through their tears to keep him alive.

Please see Traci’s blog about donating for this cause. Please pray for Marvin, his family, and our team as this day has been an emotional roller coaster for many of us, especially Krystle.
