– What did ministry look like for this month?

This month is Swazi and were in the high heels of a town that I’m unsure the name of. We are partnering with an organization called project Canan and also known as hearts for Africa. They own over 2,000 acres of land on a mountain range and they built so many things there to help the community and are continuing. They have brought in 155 abandoned kids and infants and are building this campus up for these kids to have a place to call home. They also have tons of employees from the community doing construction and making and selling things out of shops on campus. From shirts to jewelry and Christmas ornaments. This months ministry was us helping do construction, Doing things within the green house and retaining walls. We even got to do a little nursing. It also consisted of being with kids. We got to be with the kids two hours of each day, Wednesday-Sunday. Some things that we got to do was read to a group of kids ages 4-6. For the toddlers we would just play yard gems with them while listening to some interesting dance music. One other thing that we got to do was take the kids on a field trip to a concert to see a choir, and they we,re amazing!

– How was PVT?

How as PVT you ask!? I’d say it was really cool. I really enjoyed my mom getting to experience ministry with me to see what it’s been like for the past 6 months (not that it was anything new to her though because she’s always traveling and experiencing cultures). It was also a really cool experience getting to do ministry with some of my close friends parents. Watching God move in the hearts of the ones who’s faith wasn’t as strong and encouraging the ones who’s are would have had to been some awesome moments. We got to go out into the community and love on the kids, feed them and play fun games with them. Some games we brought from different countries, some they made up.

– What was your favorite part of this month? why?

I will say that my favorite part of this month was PVT because I got to be with mama. I love that she challenges me so much. Not only did the Lord bring her all the way to Swazi to be with me, do ministry together and love on each other. He also had an important firm message for me and he sent it through her. The message was about self motivation which I lack. If I want my life to be where I say I want it to be then there’s a lot of things that I overlook that are important and those things add up. I can’t just sit around and wait for things to come to me. I will ask that you all would be in continuous prayer for me in this area of my life.

– How are you feeling at this point in the race? I mean it’s month 7.

I can’t believe it’s month 7! There’s a lot of emotions flowing. As I continue to get closer and closer to the end of this amazing year that God has given. Excitement, nervous and fear when I think about it. Excited of being that much closer to being reunited with my family. Nervous for the things that home holds like job/career. There’s definitely some fear of the future. Things like job, living and marriage have to find a girlfriend first. Ha). Things that my heart desires and I have been praying for. Hoping that they match up with what the Lord wants for me. Because I know that he has great plans for Marlin! Although I’m feeling all of these things I refuse to let them be a distraction from me finishing this race strong seeking him first. I would ask that you guys would pray just that for me also.
Spiritually I am doing well also. I know for sure that physically and spiritually my endurance level has gone down a little. Starting to not care as much as I did in the beginning about the small things but here’s where I need to rely on the Lord for strength and endurance yes. Also being self motivated to do things that I might not feel like doing that need to be done because this is my job. It’s been hard getting into the word up to about a week ago. I think my insecurities has been keeping me from reading because I don’t understand all things that I read. Now I have this devotional that takes you through the bible and asks really Intentional questions. That has been really good for my understanding and it’s been helping me even want to read more. This is something that you all can pray for also!

I want to say thanks to you all for providing for this trip for me! It has been amazing and I’m sure you can imagine that God has been and still is doing amazing things through me and in me. Internet hasn’t really been a thing for the past month so thanks for your patience with the blogs. I love you guys and stay posted for Argentina!!
