Why would I do this? What good does this do? Why would people give me over $15,000 to go to Thailand and work for free?
Well the tamarind orchard provides 20% of the operating cost of the children’s homes here, they take the tamarind to the market and sell it. After spending the month playing with these kids and knowing beautiful gifts from God that they are, every single tamarind I pick up and every tree I exhaust myself in makes it worth it.
So this month half of my ministry has been “fundraising” for Remember Nhu and I actually just want to say a big thank you to all of you that supported us. You are really the ones who are providing for this organization, without your support I couldn’t work here everyday making these trees better for producing tamarind for the years to come. They are the sweetest most loving kids. There has been age 2 to 16 and everything in between. The young girls love being chased and tickled; the boys love soccer, ping pong, and tetherball; the old girls enjoy games of volleyball; and everybody loves a good game of UNO!
