Hey guys, sorry this isn’t a fun post, but I thought it’d be a good way to reach all of you guys.
My sister Kelly who’s struggled with eating disorders, cutting, suicide, depression, is having a really hard time. She went to a rehab-ish place for 45 days, which was great, but she’s still in need of more healing. She moved back home and since then has had a really hard time, understandibly.
What she originally wanted to do was kind of an aftercare program/halfway house thing, but it fell through. I’m thinking some type of safe environment would be good for her.
So here’s what I’m asking:
Do any of you guys know…
*an affordable half-way house-ish environment that she could go to or
*an older Christian woman she can stay with who could listen/love her, just be a safe place for her? i know she could help with chores and look for a job while she lives there. This is what I’d really love for her…to be in a more normal (less institutional) environment with someone who’ll speak truth over her.
If you could just let me know if you have any options, that’d be great. I know some of you told me some before, if you think any of them still would be willing, please let me know. Please pray for Kelly, my family, and me. This is hard. Thanks. I love you guys.
