I know it looks like I’m writing about the same person two days in a row, but this is a different one. Today, we are celebrating my sister-in-law’s birthday and it’s a lot of fun to be here. Last year this time, I was able to Skype with my family and was even able to sing Happy Birthday via video chat. It’s much more exciting to be here in person. Plus, with the addition of Kathryn’s dad and brother, today has been a fun time.
Living here in Dallas was a huge priority and one of the major reasons for me coming home this time. I just wanted to be around my brother and his family since I feel like I’ve missed out on a lot. Also, I’m not exactly sure what all is to come, so that is why this is a top priority. I’ve really enjoyed playing “manny” each day and staying home with Kathryn to help take care of Eloise and the house. We spend most of the days running errands, at the gym, and occasionally cross knitting. I thought I would go stir crazy staying home all day, but it’s been rather enjoyable at times.
With all that said, Kathryn has really been the one that I have spent the majority of my time with, so this blog is worth so much more than one day. We’ve also enjoyed conversations that range in such a variety of topics that we may not always agree in, but I still feel that trust and respect are growing. I’ve never really had a sister before and as long as cross knitting is the girliest thing I have do, I kind of like it. So, that’s what I’m up to in Dallas. I’m spending time with my family.
Happy Birthday Kathryn!
