First off, thank you all so much for supporting me all year long. It
has been incredible to be back in the States these past few weeks and
hear from all the people that have been keeping up with me through
Facebook, my blog, and yes, even my mother (she’s really good at what
she does, and she loves me). I have really been amazed at the reach
this blog has given me and it really has been an incredible resource.
With that, I will keep this going. I want you to know how to keep up
and how to support me in these upcoming months.
So, the next step…

For those of you that I have been able to spend time with, I’m sure you
have heard me talk about the Philippines. This country is a place that
opened up so much within me and gave me a glimpse of what I could be
doing the rest of my life (scroll back a few entries and you can read a
couple of the stories). So it’s probably not a shocker for many of you
that I’m heading back there. This trip will be a little shorter, only 3
months, but God is opening up a ton of doors out there and I have been
given an incredible opportunity.
After thinking back on this past year and all the support I have felt, I
have had no worries about having to raise support again. I went to
dinner with a couple of families and after the one meal, I was able to
buy my plane ticket. God is providing so much through the generosity of
others. I still have a decent amount of money to raise, but since I’m
not going with an organization, I will literally live off whatever comes
in. So as I look at my bank account that has a good bit under $100
after buying the ticket, and I know visas and groceries and living
expenses are right around the corner, I can’t help but thank God for
this challenge again. The more I have to raise, the more generosity I
see in others, and the more my faith grows as everything I need is
supplied. Praise God.
So, I’m not outright begging for money, but I don’t have much. I do
have expenses coming up that I can’t afford right now nor do I even have
a mode to earn a paycheck currently, but it will come. If you are
called to give, then please don’t hesitate. However, I will never tell
you that you need to support me because that would rob both of us of
experiencing the true joy that comes out of generosity. I know the
money will come because I know I have been called to give up my future
to make sure others have one and God is better at fulfilling His
promises than I am. So I will hold onto His promise.
Plus, no need to rush because I may be having to raise support for a
while, so there’s plenty of time to give (only kind of kidding…). But
if you are interested in giving, please contact me since this one trip
is a private trip and not directly connected to AIM. Thank you all for
your support and I can’t wait to share the stories with you…
