I debated on making these guys 2 days, and after much deliberation, I decided they were worth it. That, and after three days of travel, I have a lot of catching up to do. Both great reasons…
So I met these two the other day for lunch and was just amazed at hearing their stories and how they have come together. They are still newlyweds, and I greatly enjoyed my time with them. It was my first time to meet either one of them, but after the initial handshakes, it was all kingdom talk as I drew closer to this new brother and sister.
As a couple, they work a student pastors of a church, and it’s easy to see their heart for raising up this generation. Tim is also in a band, iamwe (you can look them up on facebook and see what they’re about), and they have a great and unique ministry. Along with the band, Tim hopes to use the stage to bring awareness of many of the problems faced around the world. While the guys are Christian, there music is more secular and they play to a different audience and have a great chance to show God’s love in the midst of bars, clubs, and anywhere else they step into. Sometimes it’s best to just walk in as the light instead trying to put our words to God’s message.
I’m not exactly sure how long lunch lasted, but honestly it didn’t really matter. It was obvious to see that God is shaping the lives of these two and birthing a vision in them that will make them focus on something so much bigger than themselves. They’re still not 100% what exactly it is God wants them to focus on or bring awareness to, but in their obedience, God will deliver His message.
I’m praying for you guys as this vision is birthed, and I encourage anyone else that reads this to follow these two and send any love and support God leads you to. Check the band out on facebook, and I’m sure doors will be opening up for these guys.
Be the light, use words when needed…
