I would first like to take the time to apologize to those who follow my blogs since its been 2 months since i last posted a blog. I’ll be honest and say that it’s been hard to have a desire to sit and write down my experiences for other to read…I’ve chosen to spend the time in ministry instead. But as one of the guys on my squad said to me “when we blog we are informing people about hardships and injustices around the world” which is another way to do ministry. So with that said I’ll try to bring you up to speed as to where i’m at with the Lord now.
Our squad is divided all amongst Thailand, The men are in one team and the girls are in 3 seperate ministry sites. The girls on our squad are in Phuket, Pattaya, and Chang Mei going into the local bars witnessing to the women who are forced into the sex trafficking industry. The men are in Northern Thailand ministering to the Karen people (Google Karen people) in the northewest mountains. The squad came back together to celebrate Christmas together and shared stories on our ministry sites, I would like to ask you to pray for the women on our squad… many of them have never been exposed to the kind of darkness that is before them now, read their blogs for more info.
The men on our team have been uniting together during our time here in the mountains!!! I can’t tell you how amazing it is to be surrounded by TRUE Godly men, ones who will encourage you when your cup is empty and rebuke you when you have gone off the path of righteousness. We spent the first half of this month on a piece of Land that our contact has purchased only and few weeks prior to our arrival. Our purpose was to clear the land of all the fallen coconuts, trees, vines, etc and prepare it for the vision that God gave our contact. God put it in his heart to build a place where the village teenagers can come and get discipled in the ways of the Lord, a place where they can grow spiritually and learn what it means to be men and women of God. It has been an awesome time for the men on our squad to work together and learn more about one another. I can honestly say that I wasn’t expecting to have to learn to be transparent with the other guys and try to daily lay my thoughts and heart on the table for them to examine and show me where there is error and what needs to be taken before the Lord to make whole again. But its been an amazing learning experience and i’ ve grown alot from it, I learned that we need people in our lives that will say “hey I’m here to listen” but to take it further than that and say “I will also walk with you through this”. Man was never meant to live alone.
I would like to write more but i’m running out of time. But i will go home and write more blogs and upload them when internet is available again.
