I’m Wesley Drew Webb, but everyone calls me Wes. I would rather a person ask me questions than to sit here and try to tell you about myself. I’m 20 years old. I am currently studying at East Georgia College in Swainsboro, Ga. I am majoring in Sociology and I plan to attend seminary to become a pastor.
Family: I have 1 brother, Derek, he is 21 and I couldn’t imagine my life without him. He is such a blessing to me. My parents are divorced, but praise the Lord for his direction and all he has done since that time. My Mom is the administrator at United Hospice in Swainsboro, Ga and she means the world to me. No one can take the place of a mom. Her love for the Lord is phenomenal. My dad is an Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner for a group based around Atlanta. He is an incredibly loving man. Though we had our share of rough roads I thank God for his healing power in our relationship.
Growing up: I have lived out near a small city known as Kite all of my life. I grew up in church and knew the Lord from a very early age. My grandfathers were 2 of the most influential people in my life. I played sports and was active in school. High school brought about both very good and very bad times. My parents divorced, my best friend died, and I got caught in the wrong crowd of friends. Even though I knew God and what he could do, for some reason I turned to things that offered only temporary satisfaction.
College: Thank you LORD for never giving up on me and for continuing to pursue me! Through great friends, relationships, and services I attended I began to see God again. After all the times I turned my back on God in high school, I finally lost my old life and found my true eternal life in him. I attended The University of Georgia for a small amount of time in which I grew tremendously in my walk with the Lord. After the opportunity to speak different places and lead my youth group came along, I decided to move back home. This past December I had a chance to do mission work in Costa Rica. Needless to say this is what sparked a fire in me to join the World Race. My life has been forever changed by this experience. While we were there we led a Bible School and helped make repairs to a church in Alajuela.
Extra Facts: I love to speak for the Lord! I love to Golf, but I also like to play football and basketball! I am a Volunteer Firefighter. I am the assistant youth director at my church. I like to hunt and fish. I like to read inspirational-Christian books.
